Do you miss the sound of your computer giving it all it has just to launch Crysis? It seems like you won't have to wait much longer, as the team is heavily hinting at a remake or remaster - again. Prepare your graphics card and get ready to ask, "Can it run Crysis?" for the first time in a long while.

We've already covered the not-so-subtle hints Crytek has been dropping, pointing towards a potential remaster through its (vastly improved) CRYENGINE technology. A remake is less likely to happen, at least judging from the video that shows the familiar island from the game since the visuals are improved but seemingly not reworked from the ground up.

Now, the official Crysis Twitter account has decided to stoke the fire even more, simply by tweeting "RECEIVING DATA." This is the first tweet made by this account since December 2016, so we expect the data received to be something momentous. It has also been a while since the last installment in 2013, so the game is ripe for a reboot.

Of course, YouTube videos and cryptic tweets are nothing to base your actual expectations on, but we are cautiously optimistic that we'll get to revisit one of the best games of its time sooner rather than later. Let's hope "RECEIVING DATA" doesn't take all that long, especially given how technology has improved since the last game, and we find out something more concrete in the coming weeks.
