The city of Baldur's Gate is soon to become the site of another great battle between the higher powers of Faerun, as the Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus campaign for Dungeons & Dragons is finally available to purchase.

Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus is a campaign that is meant to take players from levels 1 to 13, which will involve adventures in the dark streets of Baldur's Gate and on the hellish plane of Avernus, where parties are pitted against the archdevil Zariel and her army. The powers of darkness are not the purview of the devils alone, as Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus will allow players to capture and customize their own war machine and turn it against its infernal creators.

Wizards of the Coast has also released Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus Dice & Miscellany, which includes a set of premium dice, a dice tray, twenty double-sided encounter cards for the campaign, a foldout map of Avernus, and exclusive content cards.

The Dungeon Mayhem card game is receiving an official expansion that ties into the Baldur’s Gate video game series, which is called Battle for Baldur's Gate. The new expansion adds Jaheria and Minsc & Boo as playable characters to the game.

There has been a lot of activity regarding Baldur's Gate over the past year, as several new adventures take place in the city and involve different factions, which are struggling to claim power. There is also the impending release of Baldur's Gate IIIwhich we know involves an invasion of mind flayers from outer space, so Baldur's Gate is due to become a battleground in the future. The time to gather a party and venture forth is upon us all once more, as Zariel and her army and the upcoming war against the illithids mean that Baldur's Gate is about to become a very busy place.

Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus, Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus Dice & Miscellany, and Battle for Baldur's Gate are available to purchase now.
