Update: Koei Tecmo America and Europe have confirmed delays for the international versions of Fairy Tail. You can read the full details here.
For one reason or another, Koei Tecmo Japan has delayed the release of its Fairy Tail RPG by one month. Now scheduled for release on July 30, 2020, the news was revealed in this week's latest issue of Famitsu Magazine. The company didn't specify what caused the delay, but we can likely assume it has to do with the ongoing coronavirus situation.
The first delay for Fairy Tail came from a desire to improve the quality of the game. With everything likely being polished to a nice degree, this current delay is probably related more to logistical concerns. It also doesn't paint a hopeful picture for the western release coming out in June.
As of writing, Koei Tecmo US hasn't announced if Fairy Tail will suffer the same fate here. So far, everything is on track for its June 26, 2020, release. This also applies to the European version, which is still set for the same day. I would expect to hear something from the publisher in the next few days.
Fairy Tail will be heading to PC, PS4, and Switch in the coming months. Reportedly around 30 hours long, it should cover the beginning of the anime with a possible dip into future arcs.
