Nintendo properties are continuing to make their mark in the world of Lego, first came Mario and now Metroid could become a real set, but only if it gets enough votes. The set created by L-DI-EGO is sitting at almost 10,000 votes, the amount needed to be considered by Lego.

Metroid fans are loving the concept and clearly want to see it become a set available in stores one day. The set dubbed "Metroid: Samus Aran's Gunship" is currently on the Lego Ideas page. That site is dedicated to Lego builders and creators to come up with various sets and pitch them to the community and hopefully Lego. 10,000 votes will get you into the review stage of hopefully becoming a reality one day.

Its creator slowly revealed different parts of the set as it hit certain support milestones. As of now, Lego Ridley and The Galactic Federation Gunship have been added, and they look incredible. The attention to detail is remarkable and the set looks almost as if Nintendo themselves released it already. The set will also include a custom Samus Minifigure that is pretty accurate.

The goal of the set is for builders to re-create some of their favorite moments from the series. More reveals are on the way as the latest update states the mission progress is sitting at 88%. The Galactic Federation Gunship can now be rebuilt into a C-model, requiring 811 pieces to complete.

According to the idea page, this model is based on the modified design of the ship seen in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Since this set has surpassed the reveal goals, the final four parts of it are about to be revealed.

Speaking of video game inspired Lego sets, Zelda has been featured several times, Among Us, Sonic, and even Pac-Man have been submitted.  Last year, Lego did release a full model of the SNES and A Retro Television Set go with it, so perhaps seeing more video game sets soon is not completely a pipe dream.

If this set does make it to the review stage and gets picked, it could prove that there is a huge demand for these types of sets to be available. Players want to take their favorite video game moments out into the real world, in a creative way, and there's nothing wrong with that. We are waiting for Lego with bated breath, so don't let us down.
