Middle Earth: Shadow of War is just one of the many Lord of the Rings games circulating the gaming sphere. In Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, collectibles provide players with deeper lore of the game. Ithildin poem doors are part collectibles, part puzzle in which solving and unlocking all of them awards the player not just extra lore, but parts of a Legendary Set.

There are five Ithildin doors in total, one in each map of Middle-Earth. To unlock the doors, you must first collect the words or Ithildin Fragments in which there are six per location. After you've gathered all the Fragments, you put them into the door in the correct order. This unlocks the door and rewards you with a piece of the Legendary Bright Lord's Set. However, keep in mind that in order to fully complete the set, you must also earn a bronze trophy in all Shadow of the Past quests to get the Legendary Bright Lord's Rune, and all gold trophies to get the Legendary Bright Lord's Hammer.

7 Finding Ithildin Fragments

The game developers made finding the Ithildin Fragments pretty simple so players could just focus and enjoy the game rather than send them on an elaborate treasure hunt. To find each Fragment, there are three Haedir towers per map that you must climb and purify. These towers mark the locations of all the Fragments on your map to which all you have to do is go there, use Wraith Vision to find the Fragment on the wall, and focus on it. After doing this with all six Fragments of that region, go to the Barrows (found by another Haedir mini-game) and use Wraith Vision on the door to reveal the poem for you to complete.

6 Minas Ithil

Found within Gondor, Minas Ithil means Tower of the Moon. It was later renamed to Minas Morgul (meaning Tower of Sorcery) during the Third Age after it fell under Sauron's army of Orcs as the last human bastion protecting Gondor. Minas Ithil is also the twin city of Minas Tirith.

Here is the order of the words to solve the puzzle:

Words: Shadows > Drums > Cadence > Land > Wrath > Doom

"In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie

We bear our banners aloft, boots like Drums

Our Cadence quick,our countenance dire.

For who in this dark, dream-haunted Land dares

Resist the righteous flame of Wrath

And Doom themselves to despair and death?"

Reward: Completing the Ithildin poem door puzzle here will give you the Bright Lord's Armor which gives you 3 Wrath whenever you get hit.

5 Cirith Ungol

Cirith Ungol is a rocky, cavernous area within Mordor. There are many short tunnels that lead to ruins, however, it is currently guarded by the many Orc outposts taking over Cirith Ungol. Here, you will also find Darz-ghûrum, a fortress residing on the outer cliffs.

Here is the order of the words to solve the puzzle:

Words: Rises > Fires > Night > Beacons > Shines > Marching

"When the sun Rises, the shadows must retreat

Fleeing in fear from the Fires of dawn

The Night never knew that its end was fleet

As a Bright Lord bars Beacons of flame.

The sun rises, yes — but from the West it Shines

Marching e'er Eastward, e'er eternal, e'er bright."

Reward: Completing the Ithildin poem door puzzle here will give you the Bright Lord's Cloak which gives you 1 Wrath when killing frozen enemies.

4 Gorgoroth

Like Cirith Ungol, Gorgoroth is also found in Mordor. With a rocky expanse and volcanoes littered across the land, you can usually see smoke billowing up the dreary skies with creatures like Drakes and Flame Graugs roaming around. Here you will also find the fortress, Ghâshgôr.

Here is the order of the words to solve the puzzle:

Words: Lurk > Bulwark > Impervious > Powers > Vicious > Fail

"They stalk and Lurk, then lash out so furious

Yet our Bulwark is proof against their rage

Our hard-ringed, hand-forged armor Impervious

To predations from the Powers of darkness

No matter how Vicious or how vile

To assail the Bright Lord is to falter and Fail."

Reward: Completing the Ithildin poem door puzzle here will give you the Bright Lord's Sword which gives you 20 Wrath after performing an Ice Storm Finisher.

3 Nurnen

As most of Mordor carries a bleak image of post-war ruin, Nurnen, instead, is an island that paints a more picturesque image with flourishing plant and wildlife. However, that's not to say that this place wasn't affected as Orcs are still found around the area.

Here is the order of the words to solve the puzzle:

Words: Iron > Serpents > Avail > Woe > Hordes > Claim

"Let our foes fortify with Iron and stone

Let them summon scabrous Serpents, feral beasts

It will Avail them nought. Across the Ages none

Have an army that wield such weapons, such Woe

Such doom against the dark-benighted Hordes who dare

Claim dominion over a Mordor soon bright."

Reward: Completing the Ithildin poem door puzzle here will give you the Bright Lord's Dagger which gives you 30 Wrath when performing Stealth Kills on frozen enemies.

2 Seregost

As a snowy mountainous region, Seregost is full of steep drops and icy caverns. Housing stronger enemies (especially Orcs) and even more creatures scattered all throughout the region, it's no wonder players consider Seregost to be more (if not the most) treacherous in comparison to the other regions.

Here is the order of the words to solve the puzzle:

Words: Slumbers > Nest > Poisoned > Trapped > Comes > Base

"Fair Mordor Slumbers, entangled in the night

A vipers' Nest of sorrow and strife

Poisoned by pernicious betrayal and blight

Trapped in the grasp of gelid corpse-hands

Yet behold! The Bright Lord Comes as a wildfire

Burning only what is Base, that all else may thrive"

Reward: Completing the Ithildin poem door puzzle here will give you the Bright Lord's Bow which lets your recover 15 Health when killing an enemy.
