With October just around the corner, video games are beginning to indulge in treats and festivities for Halloween. Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios are just two of the latest to roll out the pumpkins by showcasing the new All Hallows’ Eve skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, which is now available for all owners of the expansion.

The All Hallows’ Eve skin pack is free for all players who own Aftermath, the major expansion that arrived for Mortal Kombat 11 back in May. The three cosmetic skins on offer as part of the pack include D’vorah’s Bad Medicine skin - which allows her to cosplay as a nurse - the Beast Within skin for Johnny Cage - taking him back to the 80s as a Werewolf - and a Blizzard King skin for legendary ice fighter Sub-Zero.

D’vorah’s Bad Medicine skin evokes Silent Hill vibes — almost as much as the actual Silent Hill skin that was recently announced for Dead by Daylight. Meanwhile, Johnny Cage’s case of wet dog syndrome gives the character a classic Wolfman aesthetic, who appears ready to attend an 80s college party. Sub-Zero’s Blizzard King skin resembles a familiar frozen foe from the Game of Thrones franchise, lending him a crown of ice that resembles the Night King.

Fans were quick to praise the skin pack’s classic Halloween vibe on Twitter, with one fan calling Johnny Cage’s Beast Within skin his “best skin of all time." However, NetherRealm quickly had to address an issue highlighted by Xbox One users, who were unable to download the Halloween skin pack at launch. The developers assured the Xbox community that the issue was being looked into.

The Aftermath expansion welcomed a brand new story arc and added three brand new characters to the game’s roster: Sheeva, Fujin and Robocop. The expansion has since added a variety of new stages, friendships and fatalities as part of a free update for Mortal Kombat 11 players.

The All Hallows’ Eve skin pack is available now, alongside the Summer Heat Skin Pack, Klassic Femme Fatale Skin Pack, and Johnny Cage’s “Thanks a Million” character skin.
