Pokémon Let's Go Johto has been rumored to be in development for a while, and so have the Generation 4 remake games. Both of these games are highly anticipated, and fans are waiting with bated breath to find out which games will be the next release in the Pokémon franchise.
Pokemon Let's Go Johto would probably be more kid-friendly while the Generation 4 remake games would provide more content for competitive Pokémon players. There are so many good reasons that both of these games should be the next Pokémon game, here are 5 for each one.
10 Let's Go Johto - In-Depth Starter Pokémon
The starter Pokémon in Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee were amazing, and they were much better than the starters from other more typical Pokémon games since they had more customization options and extra ways to interact with the player.
Furthermore, interactions with Pikachu and Eevee, such as the scene in the Silph Co. building prove that players absolutely adore having these cute starters follow them around and help them on their journey.
9 Sinnoh Remake - New Forms For The Sinnoh Legendaries
In Generation 6, players got to experience the Hoenn remakes, and the new games added the new Primal form for both Groudon and Kyogre that acted as their Mega Evolutions.
A lot of players are expecting something similar with a remake of Diamond and Pearl, and as such, it would be nice to see some improved legendaries, and it would be a major selling point for the remakes. New forms for the fan-favorite Palkia and Dialga would make most fans very happy, and it is one of the main reasons that players are hoping for Generation 4 remakes.
8 Let's Go Johto - Nostalgia
Pokémon Gold and Silver are very nostalgic for older fans of the Pokémon franchise because they were released right after Generation 1.
Although there are some fans that would feel nostalgic for Generation 4, it pales in comparison to the large player base that remembers Generation 2 as their first experience with the series. Nostalgia isn't the most important thing about a game by any means; however, it would definitely be one of the most anticipated things about these games if players get to experience a new and improved Johto region.
7 Sinnoh Remake - New Mega Evolutions
Mega Evolutions are likely to make a return in the future, and the Generation 4 remakes would be a great time to add some new Mega Evolutions, which players haven't seen in a while because of the new Dynamax feature in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
It is likely that if Let's Go Johto becomes a reality, there will be Mega Evolutions within the games, but there will not likely be any new forms for players to use.
6 Let's Go Johto - Two Regions In One Game
The Generation 2 games allow players to adventure to both Johto and Kanto in a single game. This has never been replicated in the franchise before, and it would probably make a reappearance in the Let's Go Johto games.
Allowing the player to visit both Johto and Kanto adds longevity to the games and also allows players to experience new gym leaders and capture new Pokémon. Overall, having two regions in a single game makes for a much more fun experience.
5 Sinnoh Remake - Competitive Online Battling
Competitive online battling is not something that will likely appear in Let's Go Johto, considering that Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee did not have traditional online battling.
This would mean that players would have to use Pokemon Sword and Shield to get their fix of online battling, which would disappoint many fans that were hoping to transfer their strongest Pokémon over to the next game in the series within a few years.
4 Let's Go Johto - Better Graphics For The Johto Region
Better graphics would be great for both the Sinnoh and the Johto region because players have never experienced these two regions with the 3D graphics that the Pokémon franchise currently has.
However, it would be much more exciting to experience Johto because a lot of fans prefer this region to the Sinnoh region. Johto has some amazing cities and is overall a very scenic region in the Pokémon world, which is one of the reasons why it would be best to experience Johto with new and improved graphics prior to Sinnoh.
3 Sinnoh Remake - Wild Area
The Wild Area isn't likely to make its way into any game in the Let's Go franchise; however, a Sinnoh remake could definitely have this feature since it will be a much more traditional Pokémon game it will most likely borrow features from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
This is especially true because Let's Go Johto would be marketed more towards kids, and the Wild Area can be a confusing place for players to traverse. If players are hoping for a Wild Area in the next Pokémon game, then they should be hoping for a Generation 4 remake.
2 Let's Go Johto - Connection To Pokémon Go
Pokémon Let's Go Johto will undoubtedly have a connection to Pokémon Go because Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee had this feature. Players will likely be able to transfer their Pokémon between these two games, and it would be a nice feature to see since so many fans love playing Pokemon Go while out and about.
Pokemon Go has become a major staple in the franchise at this point, and being able to transfer Pokémon to the next game would be a major selling point for the game.
1 Sinnoh Remake - The National Pokédex
The National Pokedex will probably be present in the Generation 4 remake games because the original games had the full Pokedex. This is something that fans are hoping for, and it is very likely that Let's Go Johto would not have this feature since Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee only had the original 151 Pokémon.
Hopefully, the Sinnoh remakes will have a National Pokedex, and fans will get to experience it sometime in the next few years.
