PlayStation Plus gives members two free games each month, ranging from AAA games to indie titles. While Call of Duty: WWII was originally slotted for June, it released on May 26 in honor of Memorial Day. That leaves the other June release a mystery. However, credible industry leaker Nibellion recently shared a screenshot that may provide some clues.

The screenshot comes from a video uploaded by the official PlayStation Gaming YouTube channel. The video is a teaser trailer for the June 2020 PlayStation Plus games, advertised with an additional 30% off the PlayStation Plus subscription.

The games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers appear briefly in the original video, but there doesn't appear to be any attempt to obscure them. Because of this, we can speculate with some certainty that Sony will give Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to active PlayStation Plus subscribers in June. However, there's still the possibility it may release another time, as was the case with Call of Duty: WWII.

Although criticized for its dependence on lootboxes upon its initial release, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has addressed those issues, much in the same way No Man's Sky responded to its critics. Now, the game is generally regarded in a positive light.

Those who abstained from buying Battlefront 2 due to its shaky launch may now have the chance to take their favorite Star Wars characters into battle. Only time will tell whether the rumor of its release on PlayStation Plus is correct, which is more likely than not.
