Sword & Shield players in South Korea will get a shiny Zacian or Zamazenta if they pre-order Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

Pokemon's video game slate has been jam-packed in 2021 to celebrate the franchise turning 25. We've already had New Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Unite, with Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl still to come. Not to mention Pokemon Legends: Arceus in January, the open-world game many Pokemon fans have been waiting decades for.

Speaking of the upcoming Diamond & Pearl remakes, it was recently announced that those who pre-order the game in South Korea will get a pretty special free gift. A shiny variant of either Zacian or Zamazenta in Pokemon Sword & Shield. While not specified, it's assumed the shiny legendary you get will depend on which copy of the game you have.

Players in South Korea who pre-order Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, or the double pack will get a code to use in Sword & Shield. That code will need to be redeemed between November 19, the remakes' release date, and December 31, 2021. There is currently no information on whether this pretty special deal will be limited to South Korea or if Game Freak will be offering it up in other regions.

Even though it has been almost two years since the launch of Sword & Shield, Game Freak continues to show it has no intentions of leaving the games behind. On top of the shiny legendaries mentioned above players can also get their hands on a couple more limited edition Pokemon via a cross-promotion with the upcoming Pokemon movie, Secrets of the Jungle. Signing up to the Pokemon Trainer Club Newsletter will get you codes for Dada Zarude and Shiny Celebi, and you don't need to be in South Korea to benefit from that deal.

Diamond & Pearl's remakes were officially announced earlier this year after a lot of anticipation. Those who have been waiting to visit an updated version of the Sinnoh region now don't have long to go with just two months until Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl arrive on Nintendo Switch.
