D&D Icons of the Realms Mythic Odysseys of Theros: Polukranos, World Eater collectible is not just a mouthful but is also available now for pre-order on the WizKids web store.

The Dungeons & Dragons Sourcebook Mythic Odysseys of Theros can trace it's origins back to Magic The Gathering. The Theros expansion block first appeared back in 2013 and was the 62nd MTG expansion. The land of Theros follows The Heroes Journey and has a very distinct ancient Greek theme. It is watched over by a pantheon of gods who reside in Nyx, and like many of their Greek counterparts, they are able to spend time walking among their worshippers. You will also find a  cacophony of monsters that roam the lands both familiar and not so.

RELATED: Dungeons & Dragons Needs More Of Theros' Mythic Monsters

Polukranos is a hydra, a dragon-like creator of mythic proportions that has three heads. Bound to the deepest regions of the Nessian Forest, never has the warning Here be Dragons ever been so true. Wanderers had better take heed for if they find themselves deep within its territory they will quickly meet their end. Polukranos, World Eater portents the fate of the world, emerging only when the magic that holds the pillars of the world is shaken. Should Polukranos come forth, bad tidings are sure to follow.

The Polukranos, World Eater figurine is accompanied by the release of Mythic Odysseys of Theros Boosters  Each features a selection of randomly chosen collectible models. Hero collectors will find the release of Brimax, king of Oreskos, and Taranika, Regent of Akros a welcome addition to their collections. On the more villainous side, we have the Night Hag and the Doomwake Giant. Monsters hunters should not feel left out either as several Nyxborn creatures are included. Keep a lookout for Arasta of the Endless Web and the Chromanticore! These will look great equally on the tabletop as part of your D&D games, as they will in your collectibles cabinet.
