Xbox is fast approaching its 20th anniversary, and it has unveiled a controller, headset, and other items to celebrate the milestone.

There have been more major video game anniversaries in 2021 than you can shake a Joy-Con at, and they're not done yet. While Pokemon, Sonic, and Donkey Kong's birthdays may have already been and gone, the 20th anniversary of the very first Xbox is still to come. Xbox released its very first console on November 15, 2001, changing the face of the gaming landscape by doing so.

Unlike Nintendo, which barely even mentioned The Legend of Zelda's 35th anniversary earlier this year, Xbox will not be letting this milestone pass by without marking it. The console creator revealed today that it will be releasing a special edition 20th anniversary controller, headset, charging stand, and merch.

The controller is inspired by the iconic translucent green one that came with the original Xbox's debug kit. While still translucent, it's black instead of green and its internal workings are silver. The X on its power button is a shocking Xbox green, as are the grips on the back. When using it to power up your Xbox Series X|S for the first time, a free dynamic theme for your console will be unlocked which is, of course, anniversary-themed.

The celebratory headset has a similar design, also sporting the iconic color scheme of the original Xbox as well as some of the translucent elements of the controller. One disc features the Xbox logo, while the other has the 20th-anniversary emblem. The charging dock matches both the controller and the headset, has been created by Razer, and will fully charge your controllers in as little as three hours. The line also includes t-shirts and caps with the Xbox logo on them.

All of the products above will be released on November 15, 2021, and the controller and headset can be pre-ordered now directly through Xbox. They cost $69.99 each and can also be found through the Microsoft Store and other select retailers. If it's anything like the limited edition Halo hardware Xbox unveiled earlier this year, then act fast as it'll all be sold out pretty soon.
